SUPPORT FAIR TRADE

Happy Earth supports sustainable livelihood and fair trade. It is a response to poverty-alleviation and environmental conservation. Fair Trade is a trading partnership that promotes equality, transparency, and sustainability for disadvantaged producers, workers and communities.

Our business partner Arengga-Serenity is generating a coffee livelihood at Cordillera, Southern Tagalog, & Mindanao. Coffee beans are marketed locally and internationally.

We are open to partnerships with other coffee producers and non-timber forest product manufacturers, and NGO’s who practice fair trade and have a sincere interest in contributing to sustainable development.

SUPPORT CONSERVATION

We strongly advocate biodiversity conservation and are against the conversion of existing forestlands to monoculture plantation farming.   We explore partnerships that support rehabilitation of denuded forest areas through rainforestation, agro-forestry, and permaculture technologies; biodiversity conservation initiatives, symposia, and publication.

ADOPT A COFFEE COMMUNITY
Partners can adopt a coffee community and donate assistance for environmental community needs. Some examples are: non-timber forest product livelihood, watershed rehabilitation, native tree seed banking and reforestation, ecological solid waste management, technology/equipment support, environmental education, scientific research and social assessment.

PRACTICE GREEN PROCUREMENT
Partners can broaden their impact and assistance through Green Procurement. It embodies a supply-demand matching process that encourages small-scale production based on the carrying capacity of the coffee production area. Partners can source their institutional coffee requirements from a specific adopted community that matches their volume specifications.

CO-BRAND COFFEE FOR CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Partners can have their own coffee label through a co-branding arrangement with us. As supporters of “Coffee for Life Program”, you can benefit from having your own branded coffee for gifts, giveaways, advocacy material, fundraising, and many more endeavors that promote corporate social responsibility (CSR).
